SPOTLIGHT - 5 YEARS OF TALENT

Spotlight - 5 Years of Talent showcases for the first time together the portfolios of all the photographers featured in the past five years of Foam Magazine Talent Issue.
With works that were selected from more than 7000 portfolios, one thing becomes very clear: the impossibility of generalizing about "a new generation of photographers". Each year, each generation, opened new roads and pointed at new directions, in which traditional boundaries, definitions and stipulations function more as possible starting points of discussion than as limitations. This is as fascinating as it is refreshing.
All the work that was included in the past five Talent Issues will be projected on two monumental, open books that are suspended from the ceiling of the exhibition space. The middle of the space will feature a large oval-shaped reading table where the publications will be made available to the public. Additionally, the exhibition includes exclusive interviews with photographers from the various Talent Issues that have been recorded over the course of the past years. With work from over 60 photographers Spotlight - 5 Years of Talent displays the diversity of contemporary photography.
